What would it have? What do you wish yours had?
i wish mine had a TV and a mini bar and a lazyboy...
Ideal office: People I want to be around
What I wish I had right now: anybody. (this distributed setting I'm in with everybody at four points of the compass (~ 200 km North South: ~ 250 km East West) is a bit trying at times... serendipity (stuff that happens 'at the water cooler/lunch room' ) is hard to replicate in a distributed environ.
TV: mini bar; lazyboy got em but , perhaps surprisingly, they don't actually help that much with work.
And a cat the total productivity killer....
HAHAHAHAH
Loved the first link Furfui!
no matter what the environment.... if you hate what you are doing... all the pool tables in the world won't make it better.
the pool tables might ease the pain a little by allowing you to take out the frustration on a small ball
This is actually the Tangler office;
Except the whip guy is just out of shot.
*ouch*
Pool table in office is an excellent idea!
Bugger.... I just remembered I was supposed to buy a little basketball ring for the office.
*ouch*
I just found out in an unrelated discussion that Hysteriq now has a Wii in her office!!!!
Nice!
I'm mid back row. Waving!!
I like my office - bush view out the window, heater in front of me, good coffee a few steps away, fridge full of food, also a few steps away. Although, some human interaction would be nice.
We used to play impromptu games of cricket at Business Sydney paper. That was fun. We'd only do it for a few minutes but it would break any monotony that any of us was experiencing...
We throw things at each other here![]()
Does wonders for the monotony thingy you talk abt

haha just told dek we got the Wii for the office.. boss is scoring on the report cards this month![]()
so far one off the checklist.. i think its one of the better consoles for the office space ie. not too much and ideal for everyone coz there is something for everyone and working it is close to natural behaviour so games are pretty easy to grasp
doesn't it need a lot of space?
ideally coz you swing about if you play the sports games.. but a room with enough space (think arms out-stretched, swing-around, not touching anyone) is ok.. the tmaer games can be played sitting down
ah ok....
A real boss or a real gme player?
Whoops my mistake - wrong discussion.
hehehe yeah, it all finally made sense to me in the right topic
no real boss but nice boss.. we tried to force him to play table hockey with us.. it was quite funny.. he was quite shy but at least he tried
You have table hockey at work too?!
I worked at a place some years ago that had table hockey, but they got rid of it.
What with all the skate scratches on the wood, fights breaking out between the players and the melting ice damaging the carpet tiles.
LOL
Very funny jr!
"Very funny jr!"
'jr' ? what's that mean then?
jr > john robie![]()
table hockey in Wii dek![]()
hahahaha
idiot that I am
HAHAHAHA
Sorry john....
have too much going on right now, so I decided to be lazy
Too much going on right now?
You and Syd... Eh? Eh? Eh?![]()
Shhhhh..... no so loud....
Don't want no paparazzi at my door!
Sigh!! Can't compete with your Wii Hysteriq - will have to settle with the Xbox in our office for now - time to get new games.
@ Dek - hahaha!!
heh wished it was mine aman.. but i am probably gonna hint to get more games coz currently 4 player games only with Wii Sports.. we got the other Wii games, MarioBros and SmoothMoves but those can't play 4..
My ideal one would have this:
This won the Wired Saddest cubicle contest:

That's a cubicle surrounded by big black filing cabinets!
(Check out the article for more description and other contenders)
I think they are hiding.
I like open spaces but I must say when I was a manager at Kazaa that having a place where people could come and bring me issues and questions privately when ever they wanted was pretty important.
Worked at Kazaa ehh? I'm not sure whether that adds cool-points or takes them away...
![]()
Yeah, I'm proud of the work we did, but not proud of what the product became.
It was a great team and very very challenging. But I'm sure the loss of cool points was because the app didn't innovate and actually got uglier.
@SK What do you mean?? That adds infinite cool points!!![]()
No, I can see why people from the outside could see Kazaa as evil or at least crappy. I can say that most of the people I worked with were high integrity great people who are still my friends.
I'd say crappy before I said evil..
Either way Mick's well into the positive count for cool points![]()

I want one of these

I will make one of those out of glue and asbestos sheets.
Wow! That's a pretty cool loungeentertainment systemart thing

Does that guy in the car look like Bob Geldof or what?!
Sorry....for all those that *care* Sir Bob Geldof
That's ok Morgan. Bob Geldof is only a "honorary knight" because he is not a citizen of a Commonwealth Realm. So he can call himself "Bob Geldof KBE" but isn't entitled to be called Sir Bob.
It's weird, you could be made Dame Morgan becuse you are an Australian citizen but because he is from Eire (Southern Ireland) he can't be a Sir...
Geldof isn't a citizen? Where's he from?
Oh wait.... I just read the second part of your post

Hey Furfui, check out the Decorated workspaces topic - there's more there!
Crazy one, I haven't been around for ages. You have some new cool stuff posted around.
I should investigate![]()
It's great to see you again!
And yeah, you should![]()
Maybe in the future we'll do away with cubicles and only have workstations?
