just signed in,first item i spotted was the 75 things a man should do,before he dies,the bungee jumping is the only thing i have NOT done,however if falling off a 80ft cliff into the sea,without a rope counts,then i am up to no 75,but they should have given more things to do?

LOL at #74. Peg the speedo.

The Landie is pegged at 90mph. Even that is optimistic. Though I have better than pegged the tachometer of a VW Golf. I fuel gauged it. The vibrations must have shaken the peg loose. Needless to say the thing crapped its bottom end not long after ...

Back to Pegging the speedo - I have only done it once, and in a friend's car which was built for it.

i can't do laundry today because the washing machine is misbehaving......so i get to try and fix that instead.

hey..... then you can check something off of both lists....

washing machine is fixed.....laundry service will be resumed as soon as i fix the water all over the kitchen floor issue.

I smell like laundry powder.... was washing ALL DAY yesterday, mainly just REwashing things. You know how sometimes you wash stuff and it comes out dirtier than when you put it in? How does it do that?!?!

Morgan ... You need to run your washing machine for one cycle using only hot water and vinegar to clean it out. You can substitute some sort of concentrated lemon stuff for the vinegar if you wish. Either one is going to make the bowl smell for a load or two but "shouldn't" stink out your clothes. (insert disclaimer ... if you use too much vinegar or lemon then you deserve to smell like it for weeks)

Sad that I even know this.

The same thought did cross my mind....

Except I tend to try and take the inner bucket out and wipe all the grime away, which is why I didn't say anything

i've got skills.

We came back from holiday once and the washing machine was whiffing a bit.  I had a bottle of anti-mould stuff that you put into undercoat paint or wallpaper glue.  So I run a couple of cold wash cycles (with no laundry in of course) and used this anti-mould stuff.  It worked a treat.  No-one was more suprised than me and it meant I didn't have to fork out for another machine.

I've done something similar with generous amounts of bleach.

Next time I'll think of anti-mould

Maybe your flatmate's clothes are soooo dirty that it actually comes out cleaner?
